This is a lbetter picture. In fact I really like this vent. Good job Tom!!!!!!!!!!
Here you can see the actual working part of the Vent A Hood in place. A simple investigation on the roof this morning, led Tom into an entire day of work. I mostlty watched Seafair Sunday and hydro races on tv.
This is the infamous Vent A Hood we bought for over our new 6 burner gas range. Looks pretty easy but....................its not.

This is great.!!!! We are happy!
A closer look reveals a hint of slate without all the movement.
This shot does not do it justice but, I really found that this is it. We did a good job.
Yipeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The tile setter has begun. At first glance, and this was it, did we like what we picked out? This view makes it look like it may be too dark.
This wall in the familyroom still needs batt and board. That will happen but,,,,,,,,,, first the tile!!
Here is a shot from the "piano room area" of the familyroom looking in at the fireplace and built in TV. The tile weighs 4,000 pounds . Sure hope all the contractors won't let the floor cave in. UGH!!!!!!!!!!!
Now we have the view form the eating area to the familyroom and again the floor is readied for tile. The tile has also been delivered and the boxes are placed around the floor.
A view from the active kitchen part into the eating area also shows the begining of the tile floor soon to come.
Here is a shot of the working part of the kitchen. The island of course is gone. The important part of this shot is the "Backer board" on the floor.

This exciting shot is too document junction boxes and mechanics we need to know about before the cabinets go in.
This alcove will once again house the refer. The old refer's ice maker leaked and caused some damage to the floor and studs. That is why this area was totally rebuilt.
Our contractor got a nice coat of mud on the pantry walls before the weekend. The end of the old wallpaper.
During the redo we have been living out on the back deck. Oh look! Rain! Who would of thunk?
Just another view of the family room .
This cabinet is on the list for an upgrade.
Although we have not yet addressed the stairway, it too will be revamped with hardwood steps and landing.
The new tongue and groove sub floor is in.
The contractor has removed the old flooring down to the cardecking.
Bookcases in the familyroom have been removed to so the floor can be replaced.
A view from the kitchen into the family room shows the very dated vinyl flooring ............and,what the heck is that zig zag?
